WHAT IS PROJECT181
PROJECT181 is an ongoing project where gamers help gamers. Content Creators, Streamers, Gamers, and Community come together to raise funds and awareness for causes that benefit gamers. PROJECT181 gives all donations straight to the charities that we raise funds for. Prizes will be given away during the campaigns as we hit certain donation milestones. The end goal is to provide assistance where we can to strengthen and aid the community while helping the Partners grow their network and following.

What is Gamers Outreach?
Founded in 2007, we're a 501(c)(3) charity organization that provides equipment, technology, and software to help kids cope with treatment inside hospitals.
Who We Are
We started as a group of high schoolers with a passion for playing video games. After volunteering at our local hospital, we realized there were specific ways games could help children cope with long-term visits. We've since evolved into a community of gaming enthusiasts eager to make a difference for kids in hospitals everywhere!
What We Do
Our focus is to support kids and teens throughout the healing process as they undergo treatment in hospitals. We equip nurses and child life specialists with the means to make activities and technology accessible. Ultimately, our goal is to create sustainable experiences that produce joy and minimize trauma for patients.
Why It's Important
Undergoing medical treatment can often be a scary and isolating experience, especially for young people. There is a special need for age-appropriate coping tools in pediatric hospitals. Our programs help aid the healing process by providing relief, socialization, and a sense of normalcy to families and patients spending time inside hospitals.
Project GO Kart
GO Karts are portable video game kiosks built specifically for the medical environment. Each unit helps nurses and child life specialists easily provide bedside recreation to children unable to leave their rooms in hospitals. They cost 3.5K per unit.
Here’s the story
In 2009, we approached C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital of Ann Arbor, Michigan with the intention to deliver video games to kids and families within their facility. After seeing firsthand the need for regular bedside activities within the hospital, we realized we could go a step further. We began working with the hospital’s staff to develop portable gaming carts (GO Karts) that would aid in providing kids with an outlet for relief, socialization and a sense of normalcy during treatment within the hospital. GO Karts are a tool for hospital staff. Each GO Kart is equipped with a gaming monitor, gaming console, and games. The carts provide a safe, flexible, and efficient way to ensure children have access to entertainment and coping mechanisms during long-term hospitalization.
