Xbox Games With Gold | April 2019

Well gamers, it is that time of the month again. Microsoft has announced the April 2019 line up for Games With Gold. While the two current generation games may not impress some gamers, the two old school titles are sure to make a lot of gamers happy. So, with no further delay, here they are.

Star Wars Battlefront II (2005)

Star Wars Battle Front II will be available during the first half of the month. The Microsoft Store describes Battlefront II like this,

Fight on the front lines where every weapon and vehicle is yours. And now for the first time, Star Wars Battlefront II lets you… Fight as a Jedi – Earn the ability to wield a lightsaber and use Force powers like Yoda, Darth Vader, and many other Heroes and Villains. Battle in Space – Dogfight in X-wings, TIE fighters, Jedi Starfighters and other classic starships, or land your ship on a Star Destroyer and fight it out on foot aboard enemy ships. Play 16 New Locations – Battle across Star Wars: Episode III environments such as Utapau, Mustafar and the epic space battle above Coruscant. Engage in Massive Online Battles.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2

Ghost Recon 2 will be free from April 16-30. The Microsoft Store describes TC’s Ghost Recon 2 as,

The face of war has changed. New enemies and new threats require a new type of warfare – a new type of soldier. Enter the Ghosts. Become the soldier of the future: Using a fully integrated combat system with cutting-edge weapons and revolutionary communication systems, gain a realistic view of how war will be fought in the next decade. Customizable multiplayer experience and Unique Online Co-op Campaign: Create your own identity, create your own game types, and take the battle online with up to 16 players. Then, play a brand new campaign created exclusively for online coop play.

The Technomancer

Technomancer will be free the entire month of April. The Microsoft Store describes it as,

The Technomancer takes you to Mars, where you live as a mage-warrior. You’re capable of harnessing destructive electrical powers amplified by cybernetic implants. Feared and respected by all, you are on the verge of completing your initiation rite to become a fully-fledged Technomancer. This action-RPG offers four different combat skill trees focusing on three distinct fighting styles, as well as the potent electrical powers. Of course, brute strength is not suited to every situation. Dynamic conversations play a major part in questing, and your decisions will dramatically alter the story and world. You can also craft equipment, weapons and armor for yourself and any companions you recruit along the way. Undertake an adventure through forgotten paradises, lost cities under ice, and dystopian shanty towns that sprawl across Mars’ dusty embrace. Will you survive long enough to uncover the truth behind The Technomancer?
